The Legend Behind Holi
The festival has its roots in Hindu mythology, particularly the legend of Prahlad and Holika. According to the story, the demon king Hiranyakashipu's sister Holika tried to kill the devout Prahlad by sitting with him in a fire. However, due to Prahlad's devotion, he was saved while Holika perished, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.

The Celebration
